Milk Jugs at Prom?

Prom is coming up this weekend and I am super excited! Just by luck, there is a fundraiser going on completely unrelated to prom at Southside Elementary School in Hartford City, Indiana. My mother teaches there, and happened to get the purple and black milk jugs! (Rachel and I are wearing purple and black to the prom!) I will be posting pictures from prom VERY soon!

Florida 2009 - Light Painting

I took this on the first night of my Spring Break trip to Florida. My friend Adam and I decided to go out and take some photographs. He seemed a little puzzled about what I was thinking going out to take photos at 10:30 at night. So I explained light painting to him. Light painting is when you stick your camera on a tripod, and take a picture with a long exposure (at least 30 seconds). While the picture is exposing, I took a small flash light and lit up the different areas that I want to be lit in the photograph. It was one of the best times I had all week!
