Saturday, I woke up to the news that my Grandfather had passed away at the age of 66. Almost as soon as we found out, I was asked to head up the making of a slideshow for the viewing and service. Although I was very close to my grandfather, I began learning so much more that I never knew about my grandfather from before I was born.

Attached is a photograph taken many years ago. I am sure that this photo tells an amazing story to anyone who takes time to look. As a photographer walking up to someone on the street and asking to take their photograph doesn't bother me at all, but for some reason at a family get-togethers I am too timid to pick up my camera. I also tend to write off family photos as trite, but yet they can tell such great stories. This just reminds me how important all photography really is.

As the Summer has progressed I've found that I am spending more and more time on the Taylor campus. I've helped a few people who are interested in photography get a camera, so after they got them I went out with them to take some pictures. These are from those photowalks. Its been a lot of fun!

The Scott Kelby World-Wide Photowalk was a complete success and a blast! I meet with the Ft. Wayne Indiana group, and we went around the downtown area. I've only been to that area of town once, so all the new subjects were a lot of fun to shoot. I have posted these large and unwatermarked to the new gallery section to my site!

This is from a Senior portrait session for my girlfriend. All these are taken with my brand new Canon 40D, and actually the first shot in this post is the very first shot I have ever taken with this camera!

I got the privilege of doing the senior portraits for another good friend, who happened to be a exchange student from Brazil. He is an excellent artist, and you should definitely check out his work. About 5 minutes into the session, it started lightly raining. The rain continued until about 5 minuets after I got home...
